1. Matthew 7:1 - Is it true? Will we not be judged if we don’t judge? Verse 2 indicates that we will be judged, but if we are judging others then we will be judged by the standards to which we hold others. We will see that the Bible tells us that we will be judged by God.
2. Acts 17:31- After the cross (31AD) a time in the future when God will judge the world. Sounds like we will be judged.
3. Romans 2:16 - Again, God will judge even our secrets. (After 31AD)
4. Hebrews 10:30 - “The LORD shall judge HIS people” (After 31AD)
5. Romans 14:10 - We all shall stand in the judgment.
6. Revelation 14:6-7 - We see that part of the “everlasting gospel” is the preaching of the beginning of the judgment. The judgment has always been a part of the gospel, but this text tells us that there will come a time before the coming of Jesus in the clouds of heaven that HIS people would preach that the judgment has began. This judgment will also end before the coming of Jesus as we will see.
7. Acts 24:24-25 - Paul was preaching the gospel to Felix and it included the judgment. Paul would not be preaching about a judgment to come if he were preaching today. We will see that he would be preaching that the judgment has come! This judgment begins and ends before the coming of Jesus.
8. Revelation 22:11-12 - A pronouncement made that the good stay good and the bad stay bad. How does HE know who is good or bad unless HE has made some deter- mination before time to know. That would be called a pre-advent judgment. Notice that as soon as He decides who is clean and who is filthy then HE comes quickly! HE is able to bring the reward because HE has determined who gets what.
9. Daniel 7:8-27 - This is a judgment scene along with timing. The kingdoms started with Babylon and ended with Rome. Next we saw Papal Rome then the judgment then the coming of Jesus. We have here a time line. (See the illustration)
605BC - 539BC - Babylon
539-331 - Medo-Persia
331-168 - Greece
168-476AD - Rome 31AD - Cross 538AD - Little Horn

1798AD - Wound
10. Daniel 8:1-4, 20 - We see the same pattern again only this time it begins with Medo-Persia instead of Babylon
11. Daniel 8:5-8, 21 - Greece
12. Daniel 8:9-12 - The little horn being both pagan and papal Rome. First conquers on
a horizontal plane then attacks heaven.
13. Daniel 8:13-14 - What event came after the little horn in Daniel 7? The judgment. Now what event takes place? The cleansing of the sanctuary. Old Testament lan- guage for a time of judgment.
14. Leviticus 16:29-34 - Atonement was made once a year for the sins of the people. They were to be judged clean at this time.
15. Hebrews 9:23-24 - Now the sanctuary on earth was destroyed in 70AD so what sanctuary would be cleansed after the working of the little horn in 1798? The sanctu- ary in heaven where Jesus is our high priest! (Hebrews 8:1-2)
16. Daniel 8:14 - Jesus is the one that now does the cleansing and like the earthly there will be a cleansing of His people on this day. When it is done He will make that decla- ration that the holy stay holy and the filthy stay filthy.
17. Daniel 8:26-27- Note that Daniel did not understand what this meant. The 2300 evenings and mornings before the cleansing of the sanctuary did not make sense to him and he passed out without understanding it all. We will see in the next study that God will send Gabriel to finish the work of giving Daniel understanding of the vision. For now it is important that we see that we have a great advantage in this judgment.
18. 1John 2:1 - Jesus is our advocate or we would say our attorney. That is good news! He has never lost a case of anyone who used HIM for the advocate!
19. John 5:22 - That’s right! Our attorney is also the judge!
20.Revelation 3:14 - So HE is also the witness in the case. There is no way to lose! Will you ask HIM to represent you in this heavenly appointed court today?
